AN ODE TO LOVE

To all the creativity, funk, music and rhyme, to every person who with an open heart were ready to participate, to every single smile given (and received), to all the laughter, all that fun and good time, to the explosion of dance during a random sand storm, and the silent appreciation of good (continuous) beat, to those House Party nights and Chundra Days, to all the yummy food and delicious drinks, to all the togetherness that gave way to one of the best years at Burningman EVER, to each and everyone of you for being exactly what you are: The Embodiment of Bliss.

...MASSIVE GRATITUDE for sharing your souls and truly sparkling up the space for LOVE...

We miss you already and can't wait to see you all and DO IT AGAIN!

Love and Happiness~*

Physical Description:
--------------------
Our camp is the offspring of a group effort. By embracing the contribution of
all its members, and weaving it into the design we will display the outcome of
people bound by diversity as we aim to construct a simple New Orleans
Americana street set in the late 1800as. The embodiment of a poor struggling
community finding joy in the simplicity of life while telling a tale of
natural disaster, religion, politics, humor, art, superheroes, war and alien
spacecraft. The facade will have a unique look and feel with a beautifully
integrated art car that will park in the surface seamlessly adding to the
look. Our front porch will host an ensemble of performances and participating
events.

The shade area will be anchored by the Ophiolepis Maxima sculpture. This piece
is to be representative of a large starfish like creature. With eight large
legs that span sixty feet in diameter and a peek height of twenty two feet the
creature will act as: a) gathering place, b) sun shield and whatever else the
BRC finds use for. Between each of legs is a membrane of fabric like the skin
between our fingers. The legs will join at a nine-foot disc, and on this disc
a twelve-fingered clawed mouth to this creature is located. The claw achieves
kinetic action through stepper motors, linear actuators, controllers, and
various sensors. All the sculptural components of this piece are fabricated
from vacuum-formed white abs plastic and these shells clad over an
infrastructure of steel and plywood. The piece is then tensioned down with
1/4" steel cables, bull pricks and rigging. In the realm of sound when the
creature is hungry or upset it will unleash shrills to warn those in ahera
presence. The complete dimensions for this shade structure measure at
60'diameter x 22' height, with an LED beam atop serving as our bat-light.

As the stage/shade will be in the front, the back area will hold the box
trucks, vans, trucks, RV's and respective tents. The vehicles will border the
camp defining a barrier and shade span between the vehicles. We will also
feature an emergency egress along the perimeter and through the camp.

Interactivity Description:
-------------------------
A schedule of events and times will be posted and they are:

Breath Mint Dispensary - With all the desert cotton mouth as well as the
horrible bad breath created by coffee fanatics, we are offering a very special
gift to the playa this year: Breath mints! We are all amazed to have not seen
someone take on this serious and pressing playa issue, but we are sure to do
our part this year in improving the air quality at Burningman.

Seek and Destroy - With a battalion of small planes our group will go forth
into the playa, seek out, heckle & spray with squirt guns.

The Helper Monkeys- A band of bike riding monkeys who pedal off into the playa
to help artists in need.

The Super Hero Makeover Event - An opportunity for citizens to find their
inner superhero and be made into their imagination.

Voodoo That You Do - Keeping true to the Creole way our own Voodoo high priest
will give lessons on magick, how to raise the dead, change the future, etc.

Tai Chi Chai Tea - Morning Tai Chi practice (led by SFas Tai Chi Thom)
followed by delicious tea ceremony giving anyone an opportunity to participate
in some centering and inner balance.

Open Mike - A chance for everyone to share the spotlight.

Our vehicle is a macrocosm of our camp and will travel the playa bringing our
joy as well as banter to the citizens of Black Rock. Also, The Chundra offers
what so few other vehicles at BM can: NO TECHNO! That is correct our vehicle
brings music that fits within this year's theme and our vision of Americana.

Sound Amplification:
-------------------
yes

Sound Amplification Details:
---------------------------
We will have very minimal Sound and/or Amplification. We would like to have a
one-night-only full fledged dance-a-thon, and a few performances (mostly in
the daytime). There will be some sporadic music, vocalists and/or poetry
moments. There will be some mega phones and heckling. Mostly, however, we will
be a techno-free zone.

Leave No Trace plan:
-------------------
('In harmony with the established BM Leave No Trace Plan, we have (and
continue to establish the following):', 'There will be daily clean sweeps to
maintain the grounds. And two showers (not open to public). The camp would
need 10 early arrival passes as these are the people would bring the camp
surface and set up the fa\xc3\xa7ade. The camp when complete would work as one
to spend the day to walk across the camp side by side to meticulously examine
the grounds. Upon the end of our BM journey, and unanimous verification and
agreement that our campsite is adequately groomed, we would then take an hour
per 2-person team to walk the playa. We are committed to bringing not only
fun, but integrity and respect to this home away from home and feel very
strongly that the intention we establish in cleaning this world will translate
into the other that awaits us.')
